The Adama Job Center is an online job-matching platform. Since the summer of 2022, the Adama Center has been offering both in-person and remote employability and social services support to asylum seekers and refugees throughout Greece. To ensure comprehensive coverage, Adama partners with local organizations in major cities like Athens, Thessaloniki, etc. and provides remote support where physical presence is not feasible.

UNHCR

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, leads international action to protect people forced to flee because of conflict and persecution.

We deliver life-saving assistance like shelter, food and water; help safeguard fundamental human rights; and develop solutions that ensure people have a safe place to call home where they can build a better future.

In Greece, UNHCR works with the Greek authorities, non-governmental and other organizations, volunteer networks and communities to ensure the protection and integration of refugees and asylum-seekers arriving in the country.

UNHCR also focuses on raising awareness of civil society and advocates for the development of sustainable solutions and the improvement of policies, which will allow refugees to thrive in their new home.

METAdrasi – Action for Migration & Development

METAdrasi – Action for Migration & Development, was founded in December 2009, with the mission to fill critical gaps in the reception and integration of refugees and migrants in Greece. Guided by the principles of consistency and effectiveness, the Organization carries out activities to meet essential needs that are not covered by other entities. Most of its activities are innovative not only at the national level, but also at the European level.

METAdrasi operates in the following key areas:

1. Providing quality interpretation services which ensure the vital right to communicate with refugees and migrants through the employment of a team of interpreters, trained and certified by METAdrasi, in more than 40 languages and dialects – an action that is at the heart of any effective humanitarian aid delivery.

2. Protection of unaccompanied and separated children, through an integrated safety net consisting of a set of actions: shelters, safe escort from precarious conditions to appropriate facilities, as well as the innovative actions of guardianship and supported independent living.

3. Protecting and supporting other vulnerable groups by providing legal assistance to asylum seekers e and organising humanitarian aid missions where necessary.

4. Education and integration of refugees and migrants through educational programmes, Greek language courses, multilingual support guides and remedial teaching for children.
